Catch The FlipFlyTye Smallmouth Fever

  is a professional guide, Spey casting instructor and fly tying expert located in Connecticut.  His experiences in this sport span over 35 years and include numerous professional accomplishments.  

In 2002, while honing his techniques of conventional and fly casting, the concept of combining the two methods was realized…and the Flip Fly Tye approach was originated.  To complement this approach, Fred refined his tying techniques and selection of materials to produce baits that were effective and proven when used with this style.  Today, Fred shares this passion through educating others and continues to refine the Flip Fly Tye style of casting & tying.  He frequently provides demonstrations at various fishing & hunting shows in the northeast.  See our Events page for upcoming venues.
